GlenAllachie 2012 Vintage Cuvée is a limited-edition release expertly crafted by Master Distiller Billy Walker. After initial maturation in American oak ex-bourbon casks, the whisky was transferred for 20 months of secondary maturation in a mix of top-tier red wine barriques from France’s Languedoc region, Italy’s Recioto della Valpolicella, and a Bordeaux Premier Cru Classé estate. This meticulous combination lends the whisky deep fruitiness, rich spice, and a layered complexity rarely found in wine-cask finishes.
