For one week each year, Speyside’s Balvenie distillery mixes things up, switching from its usual unpeated style, to producing peated single malt with Speyside peat! Inspired by his findings on a trip to Islay, distillery manager Ian Millar initiated the annual project, proving that it’s not all about Islay when it comes to splendid peated whisky. The classic honeyed sweetness of this deliciously rich malt brings marvellous balance to layers of elegant smoke.
